I am a 40-something woman who has a serious problem with collecting journals, either as gifts or those purchased myself. Sometimes I think I need a support group, like Journallers Anonymous. I just love them. I’m in love with them. And I want to talk about them.
This is my first blog. I haven’t figured it all out yet. But I’m thinking it will be a fun place to hang out. At least I hope so.

Don’t worry, I had absolutely no idea either when I got nominated last week π I googled it to find out what I should do; it’s sort of a “pass the potato” award to help spotlight cool blogs!

Thanks Letizia I will google it as well and “pass my potato” as it were. π Congratulations on your nomination as well.

I noticed you mentioned Wonder Pens in a post (I love that store). Are you in Toronto? If so where do you recommend I shop to satiate my stationary fetish on a student budget? I’ve been meaning to check out Midoco on Bloor near Bathurst but I’d love to know of other destinations.

I am not in Toronto, no, but I order from Wonderpens. I wish I could answer your question but I’ve actually never visited your fair city. Best of luck!

Dear Heather,
I would not be any good in your support group. So far from helping you abstain, I would actively encourage you to indulge more. Not only am I something like out of control about beautiful journals and writing in them, but I love it. It is certainly a weakness but not one I have the least interest in correcting.

Leslie you should be able to click on Follow Blog Via Email on the left hand side, just under the picture element. Or you can click on Follow to add it to your RSS feed of other blogs that you follow. Let me know if neither works for you. π

HI, Found you via Ray – Storyteller. Journals – me too. I haven’t had a bookshelf for over 6 years – but finally this week we finished our barn bedroom [ home at last] and we have lots and lots of room for journals, notebooks, jotting paper, collections of pens, clipboards and everything the insomniac needs at 2am to express their sleepless dreams. Writing is also a new project for me, and I prefer to hand write first- in a journal of course – then rather procrastinatingly put it on the computer. There is something so tangible and memorable about ink on paper – the smidges, blots and corner page creases bring the memories back of that writing day, in a flash like no flat screen can ever do. Hi – by the way – I am Judi and I live in France π

Hello Judi! I apologize for taking so long to respond to your comment. Your barn bedroom sounds wonderful! I completely agree with you in regards to ink on paper – I haven’t been able to write on the computer in this fashion for so long but I have kept up my journaling. It is one of the true constants in my life and one I would be truly lost without. Thanks so much for your comment.
